I haven't been spending much time recording sounds lately, but while it quietly rained late Tuesday evening I went upstairs, opened the windows, and recorded a couple of slow tracks using a synthesizer and a looping delay device. After listening to the results on Wednesay morning, I felt like they were too rough and pointless to make public, so I'd planned to go back up and re-record them and "make them better."
But after listening to them again while drawing yesterday, I decided to screw that idea. First, I kind of like the meandering nature. These aren't pop songs. Second, they pretty much nail how I was feeling on Tuesday night listening to the rain and playing the keyboard and if I went back and re-did them, they'd be different. "Better" is subjective.
